My journey so far

 
 

 3-7 years

  • Liv begins playing organized soccer at three years old at Lil’ Kickers in Santa Clarita and then AYSO at four

  • between four and five she starts dominating her local AYSO games, averaging over  10 goals per game; at this point coaches suggested she begin to play club soccer

  • at six Olivia joins her first club soccer team, Real So Cal & FC Golden State at age seven

  • also at seven Liv states her goal of wanting to be the best player in the world someday to her parents and starts to put in her own work; from seven on, her daily commitment to her goal has been on full display

 

 8-9 years

  • plays at southern California powerhouse club, SoCal Blues

  • in 2013-14 Olivia leads the U9 Blues team to a 58-4-4 record, with 5 tournament wins; Olivia as an eight year old scores 51 goals

  • in 2014-15, Olivia leads the U10 Blues team to a 53-6-3 record with 9 tournament wins; Olivia as a nine year old scores 129 goals and has 56 assists

  • in 2015-16 Olivia leads the U11 Blues team to a 44-6-3 record and seven tournament wins; Olivia as a ten year old scores 91 goals and has 36 assists

 
 
 
 

10 years

  • first girl in US history to play full time in boys US Soccer Development Academy (USSDA); first girl to play and subsequently score a goal in 10 year history of the league (15 goals for the year)

  • first girl to win Surf Cup in the boys US Soccer Development Academy (USSDA) division in August of 2016

  • begins receiving interest from college coaches across the country

 
 

 11 years

  • first US Youth National team call in with the U-14 age group

  • receives numerous full ride college scholarships from multiple top universities in the country, ultimately accepting women’s college powerhouse UNC’s offer becoming the youngest player in US history to accept and commit to a full-ride scholarship as an 11 year old

  • attends MIC (Mediterranean International Cup) cup competing against some of the biggest clubs in the world including Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Manchester United - scores 6 goals in 5 games, making her the first girl to ever play and score in the men’s division at MIC cup; this was her first exposure on the world stage and the world took notice

 
 
 

 12 years

  • helps lead US Youth National team to U15 Concacaf Title

  • with the formation of the Girls US Development Academy (USSDA) moves to Beach FC

  • does her first Nike campaign and event with Tobin Heath

  • begins to receive international attention being recruited by some of Europe’s best clubs

  • takes recruiting visits to PSG, Lyon, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich

  • premieres in Nike’s Crazy Dreams Campaign

 
 

 13 years

  • first recruiting visit to Portland Thorns and Nike headquarters

  • signs with Wasserman Media Group

  • signs endorsement deal with Nike making her the youngest female professional team sport athlete in American history

  • premieres in Nike’s Just Do It Campaign; commercial debuts during Oscars

  • accepts offer to move to Portland and join the Portland Thorns FC in March 27, 2019 

  • makes first appearance with the Portland Thorns in a Friendly vs U-23 National Team

  • makes SportsCenter Top Ten Plays during DA playoffs with olimpico goal

 
 
 

14 years

  • makes her debut with the U17 US Youth National Team in a friendly against England

  • continues training with Portland Thorns FC first team preparing for her NWSL Debut

 
 

 15 years

  • officially signs with Portland Thorns

  • becomes youngest NWSL player in history and youngest signed professional female soccer athlete in American History

  • scores her first goal, becomes youngest female to ever scores a professional goal

  • first pro goal helps Thorns to win International Champions Cup, first professional trophy
